One of the significant and large-scale social projects undertaken by Bakhvi HPP, aimed at providing clean water to 47 families in the village of Vaniskedi, is nearing completion. The first phase of the project, which involved internal network installation and equipping households with water meters, has already been completed. The second phase, currently in progress, includes the construction and equipping of a pumping station. This extensive project is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2023.
Upon completion, the long-standing issue of water scarcity for the 47 families in Vaniskedi will be resolved, providing the residents with continuous access to clean water.
David Koberidze, Bakhvi HPP's Environmental, Social and Governance Manager, stated, "One of the key focuses of Bakhvi HPP's social program is infrastructure projects that facilitate the development of villages. During the program development stage, we conducted a needs assessment, which identified the construction of a water supply system in Vaniskedi as a priority project. We can proudly say that this is one of the most significant and extensive projects for the Bakhvi HPP team. We are honored to help the families in Vaniskedi resolve their long-standing issues. It is gratifying to see that our social projects bring significant benefits to the villages, a sentiment that is echoed by the local residents. Our work would not be as effective without their active involvement." The second phase of this project is already underway, with completion expected by the end of the year. This initiative will ensure that the 47 families in Vaniskedi have reliable access to clean water, addressing a critical need in the community and improving the quality of life for its residents.
