Bakhvi HPP is implementing the Bakhvi 1 and Bakhvi 2 (Bakhvi 2a and Bakhvi 2b) small and medium hydropower plant projects on the Bakhvistskali River. The construction perimeter lies entirely within the territory of Ozurgeti Municipality. During the course of project implementation (2021–2026), both temporary and permanent employment opportunities were created for local skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers, which is one of the project's most important objectives. The company consistently cares for the safety of its employees and the creation of decent working conditions for them.
A hydropower plant is a source of renewable energy. As a result of its operation, the harmful substances released into the environment are zero, unlike other means of electricity generation. Accordingly, in order to slow the pace and reduce the scale of climate change, renewable energy—specifically the energy generated by hydropower plants—is critically important for every individual as well as for nations.
