Vakhtang Paresishvili -Chief Financial Officer, Bakhvi HPP Company
Mr. Paresishvili started working at Bakhvi HPP company in 2023. He oversees the financial aspects of the Bakhvi 1 and Bakhvi 2 hydroelectric power plant projects. His responsibilities include budget planning, management, and analysis to ensure the accuracy of project budgets; control of the financial instruments of the company; collaborating with the legal department to finalize the financial aspects of contracts; developing and implementing internal control systems to evaluate the adequacy and efficacy, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; preparing and analyzing financial statements; preparation and analysis of financial statements; scrutinizing financial statements and other financial data to identify potential areas of risk; monitoring of internal control systems; supervision, training, evaluation, and feedback to junior staff to ensure their future development;
Mr. Paresishvili commenced his career in 2018. From 2019 he has been working in the audit firm Deloitte & Touche, where he held the position of an Audit Senior from 2022 to 2023.
Mr. Paresishvili is a graduate of the Caucasus University School of Business holding a master’s degree. Additionally, he has completed professional qualification courses, including ACCA (BT; MA; FA; LW -GLO; PM; TX; FR; AA), and the program offered by the Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Georgia F6 - Taxation.
