
Nitsa Cholokashvili - Head of Public Relations and Communications, Bakhvi HPP Company
Ms. Cholokashvili joined the Bakhvi HPP company in 2021. Her role entails overseeing the planning and execution of communication and public relations strategies for the Bakhvi 1 and Bakhvi 2 hydropower plant projects. Specifically, she focuses on developing the project strategy, obtaining approval, and ensuring its successful implementation. This includes identifying challenges and risk factors and devising solutions; she ensures transparency and engagement among stakeholders; crafting and disseminating press releases, newsletters, booklets, and a monthly newspaper. In addition, she is responsible for budget planning, management, and analysis to ensure project budget accuracy; creation of video materials; event management; coordination of media coverage of social projects; branding, website creation and management; social media monitoring and analysis; media relations and media trainings; handling crisis management and implementing of proactive measures.
Ms. Cholokasvhili started her career in 1996. Initially, she worked as a journalist in Georgia and abroad until 2005. Transitioning to a pivotal role, she assumed the position of Director at the Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 2005. Subsequently, for 14 years starting from 2006, she served as the Head of the Public Relations and Communications Division at IDS Borjomi Georgia. From 2019 to 2020 she held the position of Marketing and Public Relations Director at AI Group. From 2007 to 2021, she served as a guest lecturer at numerous universities and training centers.
Ms. Cholokashvili is a graduate of Tbilisi State University, specializing in sociology. She holds a diploma from the London School of Public Relations, having graduated in 2005. Over the years, she has completed certified programs in various fields including public relations, marketing, branding, finance, etc.
