One vital component of the Bakhvi HPP's social program is its educational focus. This aspect caters to both public school students and kindergarteners within the project area, as well as the teachers and educators within these institutions. The program encompasses various elements such as non-formal education,excursions, competitions, teacher training, refurbishment of school and kindergarten inventory, and the creation of conducive learning environments. Additionally, there will be a dedicated grant program for students aimed at cultivating interest in professions like engineering, environmental protection, and geology.

In 2021-2022, the computer laboratories and library were updated at the public schools of Ozurgeti Municipality village Mtispiri and Chokhatauri Municipality village Chkhakaura.

In 2021–2022, the inventory of a kindergarten in Ozurgeti Municipality was renewed. Bakhvi HPP donated a wide-screen “smart” TV and an electric piano to the Mtispiri kindergarten. Since 2021, the company has provided the Mtispiri kindergarten with internet access.

Since 2022, non-formal education covering environmental and renewable energy topics has been conducted in the Mtispiri and Chkhakaura schools. As part of the trainings, meetings were held with interesting people. Meetings took place with the writer Dato Turashvili and the singer Giorgi Sukhitashvili. Senior students went on excursions every year. As part of the educational program, students visited Petra fortress and Kintrishi HPP, as well as the Vani archaeological site and museum.

In 2022, the dean of San Diego University visited high school students in Mitispiri and Chkhakaura to discuss professions of the future.

Since 2022, students enrolled in hydropower, engineering, and environmental specialties have been able to benefit from a study grant. The grant covers 80% of tuition fees. Two graduates of the Mtispiri public school, Jaba Bolkvadze and Ketevan Matitaishvili, are already benefiting from this program, as is Mariam Beridze, a graduate of the Chkhakaura public school.

In 2022, a New Year's concert was hosted at the Folklore Center of Ozurgeti for the students from Mtispiri and Chkhakaura schools, along with the kindergarteners from Mtispiri.

In 2022-2023, the USAID Securing Georgia’s Energy Future Program collaborated with the Georgian Renewable Energy Development Association (GREDA) to host a lecture highlighting thenumerous benefits pertaining to the energy security, economic growth, and overall wellfare of the Georgian population.

Throughout 2022-2023, a series of training sessions were conducted for teachers from schools and kindergarten of Mtispiri. These sessions aimed at enhancing the qualifications of teachers and developing new skills.

In 2023, a competition was held for the students of the Mtispiri and Chkhakaura public schools in connection with Earth Day. Nineteen winners were identified across both schools and were awarded “Biblusi” gift cards.

In 2023–2024, Advisory Board members Davit Tenieshvili, Kristine Gurielidze, and Ia Mamaladze delivered lectures to senior students and shared their own experience.

In 2024, Bakhvi HPP eco club was established in schools and students elected eco ambassadors. The ambassadors have a responsibility to raise awareness about environmental protection issues within their communities.

In 2024, specialized waste receptacles were provided to the schools of Mitispiri and Chkhakaura, facilitating the segregation of household waste as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

In 2024, in commemoration of Earth Day, students from the public schools of Mtispiri and Chkhakaura took the proactive step of enriching their local ecosystems through organized tree planting initiatives. This endeavor, aimed at bolstering environmental sustainability and community engagement, was made possible through the support of Bakhvi HPP as part of its dedicated environmental and social responsibility program.
