In the Bakhvi Hydro Power Plant project, located on the Bakhvistskali River, step-type fish pass will be installed at the headworks of each hydropower station: Bakhvi 1, 2a, and 2b. In addition to the fish pass, a specialized fish repellent system is planned for installation.
The fish pass will facilitate the unimpeded movement of fish along the riverbed, ensuring migration both upstream and downstream.
An independent environmental expert from Western Europe will be involved in the design and planning of the fish ladder to ensure the highest ecological standards.
Bakhvi HPP will continuously monitor fish populations during both the construction and operational phases, with the assistance of invited experts.
