Trainings organized by Bakhvi HPP have resumed at Chkhakaura and Mtispiri public schools. The first lecture of the current academic semester, titled "Sustainable Energy and Sustainable Development", was delivered by guest speaker Nino Maghradze, Commercial Director of the Caucasus Clean Energy Holding (CCEH). Ms. Maghradze brings extensive experience in environmental education and energy efficiency to her role. The objective of the training was to deepen students’ understanding of the 2023 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlight the importance of renewable energy, and foster awareness about smart energy consumption. Particular emphasis was placed on the local context—specifically, how individual citizens, especially young people, can contribute meaningfully to addressing global environmental challenges. The session incorporated interactive presentations, dynamic discussions, and Q&A segments. Participants shared their personal experiences, explored modern technologies and innovative solutions that promote energy conservation, and discussed the sustainable use of natural resources. Students engaged enthusiastically throughout the event, demonstrating both strong motivation and a genuine interest in the topics addressed.
“Projects of this nature have a profound impact on shaping the environmental consciousness and behavior of future generations. Introducing children to energy-related topics at an early age not only fosters a sense of responsibility but may also inspire future career aspirations. The students’ active engagement and thoughtful questions clearly reflect a solid foundational knowledge in this field—evidence that our long-term efforts are bearing tangible results. Trainings like these do more than transfer knowledge—they also empower students to become catalysts for meaningful change,” said Nino Maghradze in a conversation following the training.
