During the dry summer season, Bakhvi HPP vehicles water the main road of the Mtispiri community several times a day. The operations are carried out in accordance with international standards and best practices, which prescribe road watering as a mitigation measure to prevent dust generation in residential areas during the movement of heavy machinery.
“The list of mitigation measures was provided to us within the framework of the action plan developed by our international experts during the research phase. In order to ensure that construction is carried out in the most comfortable and minimally disruptive conditions, we have planned a number of targeted activities. These include immediate repairs of damaged road sections caused by the movement of heavy machinery, as well as regular road watering during dry weather conditions. It is also noteworthy that the sprinkler trucks are operated by members of the local community. Bakhvi HPP implements every project in full compliance with both Georgian legislation and the highest international standards and practices,” – stated Davit Koberidze, Environmental and Social Projects Manager at Bakhvi HPP.
Bakhvi HPP also carried out similar road watering activities last year.
