
Taras Nizharadze - Member of the Supervisory Board
Mr. Taras Nizharadze was appointed as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Bakhvi HPP on 4 August 2022. Since 2006, he has served as Co-Founder and Director of LLC Energo-Aragvi, and is also a shareholder and board member of several hydropower companies operating in Georgia.
In 1993, Mr. Nizharadze co-founded LLC Jadvari-Abiesi, which exports Caucasian fir tree seeds to Denmark, serving as its Director until 2008. In 2002, he founded LLC CTS, the Georgian representative of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, and led the company as Director from 2005 to 2011. From 1998 to 2012, he was a shareholder of JSC BasisBank, serving as a member and Chairman of its Supervisory Board from 1999 to 2012. Since 2014, he has led a group of agricultural companies that developed modern orchards and cold storage facilities — a project recognized by the EBRD and USAID as one of the sector's success stories. Since 2013, he has been a partner of JSC Microbank MBC (formerly Microfinance Organisation “Micro Business Capital”), serving as Chairperson of the Supervisory Board from 2013 to 2024.
Mr. Nizharadze graduated from Moscow State University's Faculty of Physics in 1986, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Semiconductor Physics. He began his scientific career as a researcher at the Republican Center for Structural Research at the Georgian Polytechnic Institute.
