A key component of Bakhvi HPP’s educational support program is the student scholarship initiative. This program aims to support and financially assist graduates of Mtispiri and Chkhakaura Public Schools who enroll in higher education institutions in Georgia, specifically in the fields of hydroenergy, engineering, or environmental studies. According to the program, the company will cover 80% of the students' tuition fees.
Currently, Jaba Bolkvadze from Mtispiri village benefits from the Bakhvi HPP student grant. He enrolled in the Faculty of Energy Engineering at the Georgian Technical University in 2022.
“As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of choosing the right profession and planning one’s future. Assisting young people in their educational journey is one of the most significant contributions we can make to future generations. Through our grant program, we encourage the pursuit of ‘future professions’ such as environmental protection, engineering, and energy-related fields. We believe there is a serious shortage of qualified professionals in these sectors in our country, while demand is increasing daily. As a company involved in the hydroenergy sector, we need qualified local professionals and young talent who represent the future of our country,” said Giorgi Abramishvili, Director of Bakhvi HPP.
Bakhvi HPP began accepting applications for the educational grant on July 1, 2022, and this initiative will continue until the end of 2024.
