April 22 is International Earth Day, one of the world's largest environmental events, involving various organizations and millions of volunteers from 192 countries each year. In Georgia, this date has been officially marked with environmental activities since 1990.<\/p>\n
To celebrate Earth Day, on April 20 and 21, 2024, Bakhvi HPP organized a tree planting event for students of Mtispiri and Chkhakaura schools in the villages of Mtispiri in Ozurgeti Municipality and Chkhakaura in Chokhatauri Municipality.<\/p>\n

\"We celebrate International Earth Day annually in schools where our training program on environmental protection and renewable energy awareness has been held for three years. This year, students and the eco-ambassadors chosen in schools initiated greening the surrounding areas, and the company management gladly supported this activity with the help of our trainers. The advisory board members also assisted in organizational matters, including Mr. Vladimir Chavleshvil and Ms. Alla Mari. The Advisory Board Engagement Program involves active participation of board members in our social projects, allowing them to closely observe the quality and significance of these projects. It turned out to be a wonderful event, and the students were very satisfied and extremely proud. I'm sure they will take good care of the plants,\" said Davit Koberidze, Bakhvi HPP's Environmental, Social and Governance Manager.<\/p>\n

In the small park in the center of Mtispiri, students planted 4 abelias, 6 pittosporums, 6 gardenias, and 4 variegated euonymuses.<\/p>\n

The company has been organizing Earth Day events annually since 2021. In 2023, Bakhvi HPP initiated a student competition at Mtispiri and Chkhakaura schools.
